Hi, there. Thanks for stopping by. I'm new to the publishing world, just having been published in two anthologies in 2016. I caught the bug, and now I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my craft and get my words in the world. Like most authors, I've been at this since as young as I can remember, which is six years old, by the way. Over time, I've developed my style and voice, and I've had the privilege of working with fantastic mentors. I tend to stick with literary fiction with and without magical realism, mysteries of the cozy and thrilling varieties, and contemporary young adult and middle grade stories. I'm participating in the Ray Bradbury challenge, where I write one short story (at least) each week. I started on June 1, 2017.
When I'm not scribbling notes for stories, I'm chasing after two boys, one of whom is in that avatar picture. That's my youngest; he's eighteen months old, and I have a four-year-old as well. My oldest has a speech delay, sensory integration issues, and (possibly) autism, so there's never a dull moment in our home.
In the wee hours of the night, I take off my apron (I wish I had an apron.) and put on my editor cap (I need to get one of these!). I am a freelance copy and line editor for independent authors who need their manuscript polished. I'm constantly seeking to expand my vocabulary--especially those nouns and verbs--and learn more about etymology and the art of creating languages (conlang).
Because I don't already have enough on my plate, I am also co-editing a trans-Atlantic, digital literary magazine with my partner-in-crime, as well as working toward getting a Master's in Education to teach English Literature at the high school and community college levels.
I'm happy to be a part of this community, and I will see you in the forums.
P.S. My website is a work in progress since I recently acquired the domain and hosting for it.
