• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hi all,

For anyone who's interested, the Greenhouse Prize is open to unpublished, unagented authors. Manuscript must have elements of humour, and can be anything from a picture book up to YA. There is no entry fee.

Full details here

I just sent off my submission. Good luck to anyone else who submits!

Has anyone entered this competition before, if so, how was the experience?

Good luck! I love the Greenhouse Literary Agency. I was lucky to hear Sarah Davies speak about the author's voice at a retreat and she's just mesmerizing to listen to. An inspiring agent.

I think there's an element of humor in everything I'm not confident the judges would get the joke.
