• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I was a member of the old Litopia.

I had my first novel published in 2011. Second novel is complete and I have been working on a couple of screenplays.

This last year has been eventful - I was the historian on an episode of Antiques Road Trip and I am (a historian) on the new Seth Lakeman album (Word of Mouth). Seem to be able to get historical gigs but nothing writing related! I take that back, I was on BBC Radio Devon talking about my novel and depression.

I don't have a great deal of spare time but I will check in here as often as I can.

Jasen.

Screen plays, eh? I've been thinking about those lately, too... Nice to hear from you again, Jasen!
