• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

There is a girl who takes West every day

Step over step, through shining snow

To catch a bus—number 2–at hill’s crest

To go where each day I do not know

But today, sky heavy and gray above

Snow didn’t fall and melted below

And this is the day she does not come

Her steps aren’t labored, her gait not slow.

Today she doesn’t move like she’s weathered

Because despite weather she does not go

Amidst all my puzzles, this one stands out:

The girl who stayed in when it didn’t snow.
