• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

... we have historical fiction from Stephen, YA science fiction from David, a fantasy mystery thriller from Daniel, literary fiction from Michael, YA low fantasy from Celia and YA/humour from Phil… sadly, no singing horses due to a prior engagement but, if we’re very lucky, we’ll have YOU along in the chat room / snakepit / bearpit / whatever-we-end-up-calling-the-Discord-chatroom...

It all kicks off at 6pm UK, join me!

Hehehehe stand back and don't feed the animals.
If so it's at your own risk LOL :p

Hmmm what did Pete say last week? I'm trying to remember...

He's so comical at times, I don't think @AgentPete realises and in a good way of course :)

"Pub" or "Bar" is a good seam to mine... Any wildly eccentric, writing-relevant names...? Here are some allegedly-odd ones, altho frankly they don't seem nearly as strange as some I used to know in Norfolk...!

The Hung Drawn And Quartered, London.
Gee...Whiz! Nice, not!

Back in my days as a student in Pompey (Portsmouth), I drank many a time in The Jolly Taxpayer. Another favourite watering-hole was the suggestively named Fawcett Inn located in Fawcett Road, Southsea, Portsmouth.
