Spent the past few months going through all four volumes of The Michael Palin Diaries. Narrated by the lad himself. Nicely written, edited and read. Thoroughly enjoyed them. -

I've never read any Freida McFadden, but I recently discovered that she isn't a full-time author, but still practises as a physician specialising in brain injury. If she's not earning enough to quit her day job, there's no hope for anyone...
