The artist Lisa Nilsson has made a literal interpretation of the old phrase we've all got a book in us.

These anatomy cross-sections are made entirely out of old books

If you go to the basement of my work building where the pathologists have their den you will find things like this hanging on the walls. Only that they are not made from old books...
 
Love it! I'm all for repurposing stuff! And my favourite thing is to mix science and art!

How beautifully put. I saw a butchering and shredding of pages into a mangled carcass. Hmm...I prefer your point of view.
