• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I just want to shake this damn chest thing. I'm exhausted from hacking.

I've praised it before, but raw garlic has kept me free of colds for 16 years. I know that you're vegetarian, and I've just finished your Why You Don't Need Meat (scarier than any fictional horror story), so consider upping your intake of the stinking weed. Another benefit of it are its blood-thinning properties, helping to prevent strokes.

A good friend in Oregon recently started to include raw garlic in her vegetable smoothies, to see if it would alleviate her respiratory problems, and after a couple of weeks she's noticed an improvement in her breathing and general well-being.

Garlic also keeps the vampires away!

I think I am a bit strange, I like getting a cold, I get under my duvet and snuggle up, wiping the snot into the pillow, having scorching hot baths??? getting all touchy and feely with my wife...what's not to like???
