• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

That's interesting. I imagine he's taken more artistic care with his novels than a lot of others. It's a shame that that often doesn't pay in the short term. For all I know, it never pays in the short term. Hopefully it will for him in the long term.

It's also interesting that he does a lot of editing. I always wonder who these editors for self-pub writers are. Although, he didn't say that that was the kind of editor he was. It sounded like he was a developmental editor and I bet he charges what he's worth.

Sobering. I get the impression the market he writes for is very crowded, which presumably makes it more difficult to sell in high volumes. I wonder if consistently high sales, in today's environment, require both stories to be both good and original, and the latter is becoming more difficult with each new book and each new author. Finding an original way to press the good buttons; perhaps that's the key to success.
