• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Hey guys, back from the dead! :)

I finally have an apartment in South London with my girlfriend, and so I'm back online and ready to get back to writing. Because I'm a tour guide I have been using my voice a hell of a lot so I do have a cold at the m0, but generally I'm settling back into my new life.

Expect to see me more often once more :)

You could try these throat lozenges, which are the favourite of singers, public speakers and actors :

Hi, Mark! London is my favorite city in the world. Glad to know someone who lives there.

Hello. I'm a Croydon lad now in Surrey but have knocked about South London jobcentres quite a bit (Catford, Forest Hill, Lewisham, Greenwich)

Ah I'm in Sydenham!

Taking me awhile to find the writers rut again but getting there.
