• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Thank you, thank you, thank you :) :) :) Very grateful for all your good wishes, and may they return to you tenfold :)

Was planning on going to the gym today – my gym habit resumed a few weeks ago, and I have (ahem) a few extra pounds to lose, but the mind & bod apparently have other ideas today. It’s one of the most gorgeous days of they year here in London, and a public holiday too, so there’s a beautifully relaxed atmosphere outside. May saunter down to the allotment this pm, followed by a pizza. Or two :) x p.

It's the one day of the year that it's *imperative* you do all sorts of lovely stuff for yourself... The gym will wait ;)

Happy birthday for yesterday, @AgentPete, but please let us know you are alright...I was a bit alarmed by the reports of pizzas following innocent Londoners yesterday! Not seen anything in the papers yet...
