• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I'm going to start an experiment. I reckon most of us could do with a little time away from current events, even if it's just for half an hour - call it 'a mini holiday'; call it 'sticking the head in the sand for a while' - so let's see if we can write a story together. To participate, go here.

Can't believe it I'd written two bits this last hour and both times when I went to post I was beaten to the punch. Was able to edit the first one to fit but @Geoff 's has scuppered me well and truly. :):):):):)

Back to the drawing board :) ;)

Whoops sorry all, I thought my post didn't really reflect the story, so I decided to rewrite! There were no other posts below, so I thought a delete and re-post later wouldn't hurt. I stand corrected! Again apologies ....

It didn't hurt at all, Geoff. Like you say there was no other post after.

And part of the fun is that we have to be quick with our bits or others might beat us to it. It's all part of the excitement.

Oh dear. We seem to be out of sync now with two follow-on sections slightly at odds with one another?
