• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I was referred here by Brian Clegg, author of "What If Einstein Was Wrong?"

I had asked for a good place to go for constructive criticism of my attempts at writing.

From the looks of it, this is the RIGHT place!

So any suggestions?

Welcome to the Colony. Oh, I'm first, well that IS a first lol.
Read, and read some more, lot's here to read, although some of it is per fantasy! lol ;)

Hello and welcome, this is very supportive and friendly place.

Thanks to everyone!
The kanji represents the surname "Lee", my "first" name.
I am new to writing and old enough that my first date to Disneyland cost; with gas, 2 big ticket books, and lunch --- $15!
So where on this site can I go to share my writing?
Thanks again,
Lee

In due time, the Houses will appear. That is where we share our writing and get feedback. At first, just hang out and get to know us. You'll find the Houses appear at the right time--when we're all comfortable together and ready to engage in feedback and criticism.
