• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I'm Luke, a veteran writer who's never done it fulltime. I've had more poetry published than fiction, although I rarely write poetry these days. My #1 genre is fantasy, although I've written in most genres to some degree. I have one completed novel out to agents, and working on others. I'm also working on reworking several earlier failed short stories. I've written at least one too many novellas, of which the market appears to be painfully slim. I maintain a writer Facebook page, a writer website, and a Substack with new posts every week. I enjoy books from the likes of Gaiman, King, Le Guin, Lehane, Atwood, and more! Happy to meet you all as well!

Welcome Luke. Hope you enjoy Litopia.

It’s extremely friendly here so do feel free to get involved as soon as you’re ready.

This is a good place to check out (How-to guide) to see a lot of what goes on in the colony.

If anything is unclear please contact me and I’ll be happy to assist.
