• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

As writers we often have to be researchers. This is so much easier than it was in pre-internet days. Or is it?

Google searches are giving less choice, and the AI summary at the top of the results is often misleading or just plain wrong (or dangerous in the case of some medical and technical advice).

I remember learning search syntax in Health Informatics in the 90s, but I've become lazy in recent decades. This article reminded me the importance of accurate searching and gives some top tips for yielding the research you're actually looking for instead of what Google wants you to have.

Save it for later if it's too long a read for now.
