• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I run a Popular Science book review site (now an amazing 12 years old) you might like to visit - www.popularscience.co.uk

I'm mentioning it both if you are a potential reader and also in case anyone fancies contributing reviews. I'm afraid I can't pay for it - it's not a profit making site - but you get credit and a reasonable readership (the site gets about 1,000 visitors a day). The way I've done this in the past is if you contribute a couple of reviews for books you've already got/read, and if it works out okay for both of us I can then send on free review copies. (As I have to pay postage, I do have to limit hard copy books to UK reviewers.)

Blimey Brian! How do you find the time to do all the things that you do?

Please tell me your secret so I can copy it. (You're not an alien or anything are you) :)
