• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I'm working on the 1st draft of my first writing and would like to show anyone interested
the first approx. 3,800 words. I'd like to see what one or two of you are writing as well.
Please tell me how to upload it here for your perusal. Thank you!

Thank you. I just uploaded it, starting my own writing group. Along with the brief description there's more about
it, and I, in my profile. The Visions of the McNulty's is the title of my story and the group.

Hello Gregory. One of my favourite poems by Herbert is "To be Alone"

To Be Alone
By all means use sometimes to be alone,
Salute thyself; see what the soul doth wear.
Dare to look in thy chest, for ‘tis thine own,
And tumble up and down what thou find’st there,
Who cannot rest till he good fellows find,
He breaks up house, turns out of doors his mind.
