• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Welcome to the Colony, Imran. Your website shows your versatility and is a good example of a tightly edited site. Good luck with your book launch.

Welcome, Imran - like the look of your book, good luck with the launch. I liked the photographs and art, too - away from my writing, I pursue a commercial side-line in landscape photography (nothing special, but it makes me a little money) so its nice to greet a fellow Renaissance man!

Thanks Andrew. Thanks for appreciating the look of the book and the artwork. Is there a site where I can see your work?

Imran - well, I got a bit distracted by the novel, so the website is, ermm, a work in progress (and is missing the last couple of years of decent material), so for what it's worth - fellwanderer Cheers, A.

Welcome Imran! I had a look at your site – it looks good. I love the architectural drawings, they're fab. I don't get on here as much as I'd like but it's a great group. I'm sure you'll like it here.
