• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Really sorry, folks, but I’m not able to do Pop-Ups tomorrow :( The broken toe isn’t a problem, but the raging toothache overnight really is. I’m on antibiotics now, which if you know me isn’t anything I’m inclined to do except in extremis.

Next week, Sunday 26th, will carry on as normal.

You have it both ends... and a toothache is a thousand times worse than a broken toe I think! Hope you get well soon.

Oh no! That's miserable. Get well soon. (By the way, in Reflexology, teeth reflex points can be found on the toes. If you break the big toe ... Then again it might be co-incidence.) Just don't give yourself frostbite with the ice pack.

Sorry you're under the weather, Peter. Looking forward to having you back in your usual spot, hail and hearty, next Sunday.

Sorry to hear you're suffering, @AgentPete. Get well soon (that originally read Get well son! Jeez, patronising spellcheck :) ) I hope the pain disappears – from both ends.
