I have brass switches attached to the walls: switch down = light on, switch up = light off. My fridge is a second-hand, waist-high one with a wee freezer compartment inside - probably manufactured before I was born (and still working!) I have no Hive or Alexa or any AI companion. Turns out I'm very smart indeed!
